Synthesis, structural characterization and biological aspects of divalent transition metal complexes derived from 2, 5 diacetry furan and 2-thia-6-aza-bicyclo [4.2.0]oct-4-en-7-one based schiff base.

Abstract

Biologically active dinuclear complexes [M2(C44H52N20O2S8)X4] of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) with Schiff base ligand (C22H26N10OS4) got through the buildup of 2,5 diethylidene furan bis (thiocarbohydrazide) with 2-thia-6-aza-bicyclo[4.2.0]oct-4-en-7-one. The recently orchestrated Schiff base and its metal derivatives have been basically portrayed with the assistance of elemental analysis, condensation measurement, magnetic measurement and their structure configuration explain with the help of different spectroscopic (electronic, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, GCMS) systems. The electronic spectra of the metal complexes (metal ligand derivatives) demonstrate an octahedral geometry of the middle metal ion. These ligand and its metal derivatives were screened for their Antioxidant and antimicrobial hindering potential and compared with standard medications butylated hydroxyanisol (free radical searching active), Imipenem (antibacterial) and Miconazole (antifungal). [Ni2(C44H52N20O2S8)(OAc)4] demonstrates best antimicrobial action against the contemplated microorganism, and [Cu2(C44H52N20O2S8)(OAc)4] demonstrates the best free radical searching action.
